Welcome to Charlotte Mobility Scooter Rentals! Below you'll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our services.

General Questions

What is Charlotte Mobility Scooter Rentals?

Charlotte Mobility Scooter Rentals provides high-quality mobility scooters for rent to help individuals with limited mobility get around easily and comfortably. We offer delivery and pickup services to make the process as convenient as possible.

What areas do you serve?

We primarily serve a 20 mile radius within the Charlotte metropolitan area, including nearby suburbs. If you're unsure whether we deliver to your location, please contact us, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.

What are your operating hours?

Our customer service team is available Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. You can always fill out our Online Reservation Request Form 24/7 and we’ll get back to you with availability and pricing.

Rental Details

What types of mobility scooters do you offer?

We offer a variety of Pride mobility scooters, including compact, mid-size, and heavy-duty models. Each type is designed to cater to different levels of mobility needs and comfort preferences.
Ultra-X Is our lightest model with a weight capacity up to 300lbs
Traveller 3 or 4 Wheel model is our most popular and most transportable with a weight capacity of 300 lbs
GoGo Sport- While also easy to transport, this is a slightly larger version of our Traveller scooter with a weight capacity of 325 lbs
Pride Victory 10- Our most heavy duty scooter with a weight capacity of 400 lbs
All scooters disassemble and fold for easy transport.  

What is included in the rental?

Each rental includes the mobility scooter, a charger. Please let us know if you need any other accessories such as an oxygen tank holder. We also provide a brief orientation on how to operate the scooter safely.

How much does it cost to rent a scooter?

The rental cost varies depending on the type of scooter and the duration of the rental. One week costs $250 then it’s $15/day after 7 days. Need a scooter for less than 7 days? Fill out our Online Rental Request Form and we’ll send a quote to your email with the price breakdown.

Is there a minimum rental period?

Yes, our minimum rental period is 1 day. Longer rental periods are available at discounted rates. 1 day will be $60 plus our $75 delivery and pickup fee bringing the total to $135 before tax. 

Booking and Payment

How do I make a payment?

We accept all major credit cards. Once you fill out the Rental Request Form, we will send you a quote with further instructions. If you decide to move forward with your reservation, we will send you an invoice with a secure payment link. Once the invoice has been paid, your rental will be secured.
 

Can I cancel or change my reservation?

The Renter may cancel their order at any time; however, the Renter will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the rental fee per mobility scooter/electric wheelchair/equipment if not canceled 48 hours prior to the delivery date.

Do you offer insurance?

We do not offer insurance. We recommend checking with your personal insurance provider to see if they offer coverage for rental equipment.

What happens if the scooter is damaged while I’m using it?

You would assume the liability for any damages that occur while the scooter is in your possession.

Delivery and Pickup

How does delivery and pickup work?

We deliver the scooter to your specified location (residence, hotel, or business) and pick it up once your rental period is over. Our team will coordinate the delivery and pickup times with you to ensure a smooth process. 
If you’re staying in a hotel, we will deliver your to the front desk prior to your check-in. The scooter will have a tag with your name  and contact information. 

Is there an additional fee for delivery and pickup?

Yes, there is a one-time delivery and pickup fee of $75, which covers both the drop-off and pick-up services.

Can I pick up the scooter to avoid the delivery charge?

At the moment, we only offer delivery and pickup service. We do not have a retail location where you can stop by to pick up your mobility Scooter. 

Do you offer same-day delivery and pickup?

We do not offer same-day delivery and pickup. We can deliver your scooter to your residence, hotel, or place of work in the morning, and come back to pick it up the following morning?

Usage and Maintenance

How do I charge the scooter?

Each scooter comes with a charger. Typically, you will need to plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet and connect it to the port under the right hand of the steering wheel. It is recommended to charge the scooter overnight.

What should I do if the scooter breaks down?

In the unlikely event that your scooter stops working, please contact our customer service immediately at (704) 879-5189. We will provide troubleshooting assistance and arrange for a replacement if necessary.

Can I take the scooter on public transportation?

Most public transportation systems in the Charlotte area accommodate mobility scooters. However, we recommend checking with the specific transportation provider for their policies on mobility scooters.

Can I take the scooter out of state or out of the country?

Yes! You can travel with our scooters. Our scooters are easy to transport and can even fit in the back of a small suv or sedan.
 

Additional Information

Can I rent multiple scooters at once?

Yes, you can rent multiple scooters. Please include that you need multiple scooters in the open text box on our Rental Request Form that says, “Is there anything else we should know”

Are the scooters sanitized?

Yes, we sanitize each scooter thoroughly before and after each rental to ensure the highest level of hygiene and safety for our customers.
